Saving the Greater Short- Lizard: An Endangered Species
Species at Risk Act (SARA):
Ten years ago Canada comitted to protecting endanger, threatened or species at risk by making the Species at Risk Act (Greater Short-Horned Lizard, 2015). This act was created by the Environment Minister and the main priority of this act is to protects species at risk in Canada (Greater Short-Horned Lizard, 2015).

Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC):
Before an animal can be protected by the COSEWIC, the status of the creature must be evaluated by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC) (Greater Short-Horned Lizard, 2015). The committee evaluates the evidence of the decline in the population of the species at risk (Greater Short-Horned Lizard, 2015).
